The Open Cobalt Project

Can someone help me learn to build worlds? Is there text or dvd learning workshops etc. to do this for cobalt?

Are there symposiums or online schools that can give coursework etc.?

Where do I get the software?

I am familiar with 3D Studio Max and Caligari Truespace 3D object modeling.

Ed, I put together a tutorial on building your own base world in Croquet a while back. I've put that info on my Ning profile page (here: http://cobalt.ning.com/profile/Matt), along with some other tutorials and whatnot.

And we're currently working on a user guide to help people get started with Cobalt. It will be posted to the Cobalt website by early January.

I hope someone can help me here.

How do you load a world template on open cobalt alpha1rc13 and edusim and where do we go to find working world templates? Here's what happened...

I tried to download a world template from CobaltWorlds but we only got one file in .c3d format causing it not to load we likewise tried linking to the world template URL by clicking load from > web directory then I click on Link To and now, the template URL appears under Nearby World but it only gave us a Portal Opening Error Message as shown below:

What we also would like to know is where we can go to download a world template package or world templates on a zip format that includes not only the .3cd file but also the rest of the file that comes with it and what are the steps to properly load a world template on both alpha1rc13 and edusim.
